Super 8 by Wyndham Temple S General Bruce

Price was reasonable, one of the lower prices we found for the area, easy to locate, shared a parking lot with an amazing Mexican restaurant. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, A/C worked great, fridge worked fine, overall the room was very clean, smelled nice. Bathroom lacked just a little bit of cleanliness but nothing major.

Looks alot better inside than outside. Cleaner then we thought it would be. Smelled of smoke though. Wish we could've changed rooms

Floors were mopped every day. Bathroom was cleaned every day. Shower was comfortable and clean. The sink area was cleaned and looked clean. The room was freshly supplied with soap and individually wrapped coffee style paper cups. The room was cleaned and the beds were made. The A/C was very good. room worktable was good, just needed a second chair. Lobby coffee was good. Lots of packaged quick options, bagels with cream cheese, cinnamon rolls, OJ, and other goodies. Hanging out in the lobby area is not my thing, but near the end of my stay I noticed they have lots of sitting tables with charging stations USB and wall outlets.

The breakfast was terrific. Large Texas shaped waffles covered with syrup are great way to begin the day. The location is perfect for me since it is around the corner from my journey's destination.

This place is a little hard to find because, as you can tell from my photos, there have has wind damage to there sign so it's missing. If you're coming form the south just exit 287, go past the light at Midway Dr. and it's immediately on your right. If you're coming from the north then you need to exit onto S General Bruce Dr. When you get to the first light, which is Midway Dr. Turn left and go under IH 35 then turn left onto the access rd. and then almost Immediately turn right into Super 8. If you're brave and take the Texas Turn Around, go immediately to the far right and quickly turn right into the place. I was there for a 2 day VA appointment. The VA hospital is only about 8 minutes away. The people working there were super friendly. The room was really clean, no odors and the bed was comfortable. I was in room 128 which is all the way back by the pool and gym. My pictures of the pool don't show it in the best light. In there defense, there was a 25 to 30 MPH wind all day and it wasn't really pool weather so I can see why they weren't in a big hurry to clean it. I will stay here again
